Traditional Donations

A donation to the YWCA can help bridge the gap for many women, children and families at risk – supporting real people and supporting programs that make a difference in Butler County.

  • Women and children come to us for shelter from domestic violence, starting new lives in safety and comfort.
  • Women come to us from the streets, from institutions, and from emergency shelters seeking a safe place to live.
  • Adults and children come to us for help to improve their reading and math skills.
  • People come to us to learn new ways to find employment or to learn skills that make them better employees.

In short, your donation will make a difference! More than 90% of all funds received are used for program expense. For more details, please see our latest annual report.

You may make a donation to the YWCA or you may designate your gift to one of our programs. Please note that the YWCA Hamilton is a 501(c)(3) organization so your donation is tax deductible.

Donations are accepted both through the mail and online using our Acceptiva web form.

Donating Stocks

Gifts of securities which have gone up in value since their purchase can provide additional benefits:

  • You receive a charitable income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities if they have been held longer than one year
  • You avoid capital gains tax.

In Memory or In Honor Of a Loved One

A gift to the Hamilton YWCA in honor or memory of a special person will help us empower women and girls while giving you a unique opportunity to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, holiday, retirement, graduation, or the loss of a loved one. Your thoughtfulness will be acknowledged immediately to the person or family you have chosen.

If you would like to make a gift, you may either mail us a check or donate online using the Acceptiva web form. Please include a note with your check that tells us who you wish to honor or memorialize as well as the name and address of who we should notify of your special gift.

Gifts in Kind

Household Goods:
The YWCA frequently accepts donations for women and families in our residences and for those who seek help through our programs. To donate an in-kind gift, please call ahead to ensure that your donation can be accepted. The YWCA has limited storage space and although we appreciate gifts of furniture, equipment, clothes and other items for use by clients, we may not always be able to accept them if there is not an immediate need.

Office Supplies:
You can also help the YWCA Hamilton by donating office supplies. By defraying the administrative costs of operation, the YWCA can divert more funds into the programs that help empower our area women.
