Traditional Donations
A donation to the YWCA can help bridge the gap for many women, children and families at risk – supporting real people and supporting programs that make a difference in Butler County.
The women and children in our domestic violence housing programs come to the YWCA homeless, often carrying their only possessions with them. The YWCA Family Literacy Program opens doors to enhanced skills which provide better employment opportunities, create better parents and citizens. The Goodman Place program offers women with mental illness safe, affordable housing in a supportive environment.
- 47% of the YWCA's program expenses went to Dove House programs in 2009. Dove House provided its life-saving services for domestic violence victims and its educational programs for our entire community: protective shelter in two confidential locations, 24 hour crisis hotline (1-800-618-6523), victims’ support groups, intervention for adults and high-risk juveniles, speaking engagements to a wide variety of groups, court advocacy, and safety plans. Over 3,500 individuals were served in Fiscal Year 2009, with 70 of them receiving shelter care, ranging from 2 days to 9 months of shelter.
- Over 2,000 individuals and families were served by the YWCA Family Literacy Program in 2009.
- Women who are at risk of homelessness are served by the YWCA Transitional and Permanent Residence Programs, providing safe, comfortable residences and supports to regain self-sufficiency.
The YWCA Hamilton is a 501(c)(3) organization. You can make a tax-deductible donation to help the women, girls, and families of Butler County today.
You may also direct your gift to specific YWCA programs or efforts. Programs like Dove House, Goodman Place, and Literacy Training make a difference right here in our community. We invite you to make an appointment for a personal visit and tour.

In Memory or In Honor Of a Loved One
A gift to the Hamilton YWCA in honor or memory of a special person will help us empower women and girls while giving you a unique opportunity to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, wedding, holiday, retirement, graduation, or the loss of a loved one. Your thoughtfulness will be acknowledged immediately to the person or family your choose to honor.
If you would like to make a gift, please contact us at 513-856-9800 or mail your gift with information telling us who you would like to honor. Please include their name and address (if you are honoring a living person) or the name and address of their family (if a memorial gift) so that we may send notice of your gift.
Gifts in Kind
Household Goods:
The YWCA frequently accepts donations for women and families in our residences and for those who seek help through our programs. To donate an in-kind gift, please call ahead to ensure that your donation can be accepted. The YWCA has limited storage space and although we appreciate gifts of furniture, equipment, clothes and other items for use by clients, we may not always be able to accept them if there is not an immediate need.
Office Supplies:
You can also help the Hamilton YWCA by donating office supplies. By defraying the administrative costs of operation, the YWCA can divert more funds into the programs that help empower our area women.
