Join us for the Youth Symposium on September 23 from 6-8 pm, sponsored by the Butler County United Way and hosted by the YWCA.

Outstanding Women of Achievement Nomination Deadline Extended to September 7

If you know a woman who deserves recognition for her contributions, you have a few more days to submit the OWOA nomination.
Selection of the five Outstanding Women of Achievement will be made by an awards panel. Selected honorees will be presented at the award luncheon on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, 11:30 a.m.
Nomination forms are available at the YWCA Hamilton or you can print the attachment below(please ignore the original due date on the form). Fax, mail, or drop off your nomination form along with a narrative telling us about your nominee.

YWCA Hamilton SOAR

YWCA Hamilton SOAR is a free and unique program for Butler County Residents to get help to find and keep the job they desire.
Participants will:

Participate in SOAR workshops best suited to their needs, based on their skills, interests and the career path
they would like to follow and excel in.

Discover their personal traits, preference, aptitude, strength, and weaknesses using a variety of career
assessment tools.

Establish an action plan with attainable employment goals and milestones.

YWCA is hosting American Red Cross classes in Hamilton

The YWCA Hamilton is hosting three classes taught by the American Red Cross for the community.
The classes are scheduled as follows:

9/27/2010 – Adult CPR/AED 8:30am-1:30pm
10/9/2010 - Babysitting 8:30am-4:30pm
11/11/2010 - First Aid/Adult CPR/AED 8:30am-4:00pm

Family Scrabble Fest!

In celebration of National Literacy Month, and to promote family-friendly literacy activities, the Butler County Literacy Program introduces its First Annual Family Scrabble Fest Fun(d)raiser. Proceeds will benefit the Literacy Program, which provides one-on-on tutoring and group classes for children and adults in Butler County to improve their literacy and quality of life.
Early Registration is $20 per team or $25 per team at the door.
